LaCamelia Restaurant

At the bottom of Waterman Avenue, directly across the street from the Waterman Avenue Deli, lies this little gem of a place called LaCamelia, where the husband and wife team who own the restaurant have been serving Middle Eastern meals for 20 years. At LaCamelia, guests dine on white tablecloths under Greek arches. They enjoy international background music and kufta, a ground beef mix, along with the standard shish kebab, baby rack of lamb and many other Armenian specialties.

Not overly large, but very cozy and friendly, the restaurant offers a taste of the old country right here in East Providence, a diverse community with many traditional ethnic restaurants scattered throughout the city.

This restaurant is so warm and charming and the food is fantastic.
The owners make you feel like you're part of their family. They are
very accomadating to everyone and they have an ecclectic group
from far and wide that you will meet when visiting. Very enjoyable.
