Not Bad!! The food was really good and affordable! Sure the decor was lacking, it doesn't pride itself on being a Capricio's but I have to say it was authentic italian food and it was delicious.

This restaurant is now Carmine and Louie's. If eating in a basement, with limited decor and a peculiar odor is your thing, then by all means go! Ignore the advertised Tuesday - Thursday specials in the local paper. We tried this on a Thursday, only to be told that the special was only on Tuesdays. The menu is limited, the salad was a joke (all greens - had to dig deep to find some overripe tomatoes and a few croutons) and the only pasta is rigatoni (no variety here!). The bread is nondescript, and the pasta sauce tasted like a watery Ragu brand. Then, to make for a perfect evening, they tried overcharging us 40% on the wine. Big disappointment!!!

I grew up down the street from this restaurant and I can tell you that there were not cars lined up and down the street because it was a terrible restaurant. I have been there a few times, and the food was always delicious. The only reason it's not getting a five star rating from me, is because they need to revamp the decor, that I agree with.
