William, it is not good for either side to force ones religion or no religion down anyone's throat.Read More It is not good for either side. I don't want to hear the noisy amplified sound system into my home 8 times a day every day. That IS forced religion. Put up a quiet sign and that would be fine. Put up a 500 foot cross and that is fine too. As long as it is QUIET! STOP THE NOISE! NO FORCED RELIGION!
nonoise April 20, 2014 at 02:09 pm
It is all about the noise. It is all about the church's power to do whatever they want with noRead More consequences.
William LaBarge April 20, 2014 at 02:22 pm
nonoise: With due respect, the churches around here had their bells ringing since they were builtRead More some centuries ago. For us to tell those churches they can't ring their bells is not reasonable. If one is bothered by the bells, one should check around the neighborhood for church bells before moving into that neighborhood. I personally like the church bells chiming. On the other hand, when it comes to churches coming before the planning board, neighbors do have their chance to voice their objections to noisy church bells and perhaps have it written into the decision on whether that church may or may not have church bells chiming away. I will not move next to a train tracks for where there are train tracks, there are noisy trains. Likewise, wherever there are churches with bells, there are, from time to time, noisy church bells chiming away.

What an incredible gift for this couple! Music is very large and important ministry in our churchRead More but we've yet to have a personalized song/prayer by priest to a couple getting married. I can't imagine how anyone could criticize this - it was one of best prayers I've heard and it was most appropriate for this occasion. Typically we find video cameras during our liturgies irreverent but I'm really happy that someone did there and they shared it with the world. On this Easter Day 2014 it's a wonderful reminder of why Christ came to earth for us and goes right to the heart of his teachings.

Funny that while you sniff the fannies of unions it was the Ford Motor Company's Henry Ford who paidRead More the highest wages in the nation in it's beginnings which were non union paying 5 dollars per day when a hard working family man was averaging 9 bucks per week . Why did Mr. Ford pay such a high wage in bad economic times ? He wanted the average worker to be able to afford buying a Model T Ford .

Tom, let me also add, when we hold people accountable for their actions via cost effective andRead More realistic punitive measures in addition to providing for our services cost effectively which will benefit all the people especially tomorrow's generation, we could all be driving new cars which would further benefit our economy… Commonsense will always get the best mileage; I thought I'd throw that in, happy Easter

Of course Peter unlike the leftist lambs attacking you besides my water front view here I also haveRead More witnessed the bankrupting policies we have here in Rhode Island which has caused huge financial troubles for the State and municipal governments state wide but of course these leftist lambs attacking you will have no explanation for these socialist trends which have never worked anywhere . I do know having witnessed said policies on a world wide basis but these leftist lambs will never get it as when their minds of mush get programmed they will never see the light of day , only what they want to see which is far from reality and why we are where we are in present day. Of course they will never tell you why RI is a wasteland of unemployment/under employment also with most jobs created being part time . Now back to my nice waterfront views and a Happy Easter greetings to you Peter .

It's about FRIGGIN time these retailers are held accountable for the DAMAGES they cause toRead More consumers. I am not talking about the Fed's imposing fines of which we the Consumers don't see a penny of either. Why can't these Companies INVEST IN BETTER TECHNOLOGY TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE? Just saying.

Ok........lots of happy people here. When my children were young we hid eggs in the yard for theirRead More hunt. One dog used to collect them before we went outside and put them on his bed, smelling the candy inside. Kids learned to trade dog treats to get their eggs back. A different kind of egg hunt- and I miss that dog.

People, remember -- There are FOUR subway lines that go into the Downtown Crossing / Back Bay area.Read More You don't HAVE to take the Green Line. The ORANGE line goes to Back Bay Station, and it's pretty centrally located. Also, consider watching the Marathon from a less-populated area, such as Framingham / Newton / Needham. David Greenberg April 20, 2014 at 01:39 pm
So what you're saying william is that anyone who comes along and claims "PTSD",Read More "ABUSE", blah, blah blah should get a free pass? Why have laws then? The whole concept of making something a criminal act is that we want to discourage it from happening in the first place, by putting deterrents into effect. One such deterrent is PRISON, another is the Death Penalty. If this person was being abused, she had options BEFORE coming to this point - for whatever reason, she make a decision to kill someone, and a Jury of her peers determined her guilt. So off to jail she goes - hopefully FOREVER.

It sure helps that I'm a little old lady because I just bring my cup from home from the last time IRead More was at a store. The last time I paid for a drink at costco was probably before the terrorists attacked us on 9-11. What's the big deal here, it's only soda? If this guy wants free drinks, it's none of your business, and non of the business of that nosey cop neither. You people don't get it, it's flat out entrapment by having the soda available.
