East Providence's Bagel Zone has a mix of fast cars, dancing girls and good food.
It was my mom who first told me. The sign for a full pot roast dinner tipped her off that the Bagel Zone was more than coffee and bread. She was worried, though, that no one would go there, hidden in a corner off Waterman Avenue right before Pawtucket Avenue. Little did she know. My friend Ann and I decided to check it out, hoping for some good food. It looked like a deli from the outside, except that you could see a row of painted ceramic jars through the window above the counter, a homey touch.
