A Coventry, RI, home is in second place nationally right now.
Does Rhode Island have the best “decked” house in the U.S.? Readers who voted in our annual Deck the House contest have singled out two homes, one in Coventry and one in East Greenwich, as national finalists. Coventry is in second place right now across the nation. In Coventry, here is the Crazy Christmas House, decorated by Tyler Horrocks. Check out a spectacular video of the display here. Who has the best “decked” house in East Providence? According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home has the best holiday lights in E.P. We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors. We loved showcasing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’ve launched our annual Deck the House Contest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in America—the best “decked” house in the country—the one home so spectacularly decorated that everyone in town jokes your holiday decorations could rival Rockefeller Center’s. If this sounds like your house, upload a photo or video of your home to our contest page from Nov. 26 to Dec. 16 here. Only residents of Patch towns are eligible to enter. We’ll select 24 regional finalists, and from them, pick one grand prize winner. Patch.com is launching a nationwide contest to find the best dressed home in its Patch communities, and the winner’s school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached. Here’s how the contest works. Beginning on Dec. 8 and continuing through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site.
