Mom, Son Win House Lottery
Renee Francis and her son, Kendall, have 30 days to close on the sale of the 78 Anthony St. home they won Tuesday night at a lottery before the City Council meeting.
Renee Francis and her son, Kendall, of Riverside are the winners of East Providence’s lottery for the home at 78 Anthony St. Quite a pre-Christmas gift. Their number, 104212, was drawn from a plastic jug by City Councilor Tracy Capobianco at the start of the City Council meeting on Tuesday evening, Dec. 18. They now have 30 days to close on the sale. “I knew when I saw it that it was mine,” said Renee. “It was beautiful. I’m so excited.” Kendall said: “I can’t put words to how I feel. I’m ecstatic.” Mom and son have always lived in apartments, she said.
