Police Search for Murdered Woman's Boyfriend

Michelle Busby, 50, was found dead in her home last Friday. Police are asking for the public to help searching for her boyfriend, Andrew Jett.

The death of a 50-year-old-woman found dead on Friday, Aug. 24, inside her East Providence home has been ruled a homicide by the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office. The woman has been identified as Michelle Busby of 71 Metacomet Ave. in East Providence, according to reports from the department. Members of the East Providence Police Department are seeking the public's help in finding the victim's vehicle a 2006 white Jeep Commander, with RI license plates JP-449. The police would also like to speak with Ms. Busby's boyfriend, Andrew Jett who is believed to have been living with her. Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of the Jeep or Jett, are asked to contact the East Providence Police Department at 401-435-7600.

Missing East Providence Man Found Dead Under Bridge

The man was reported missing on Thursday morning.

East Providence police found the body of a missing 55-year-old man below the Washington Bridge at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Friday, June 22. Search parties and the city's harbormaster began efforts to find the man after his family reported him missing Thursday morning, according to Det. Kevin Feeney.  There does not seem to be any foul play, according to reports. Police have refrained from releasing his identity.

UPDATE: Police Find Runaway Teen

Alexis Cucinotta was found in a relative's home in Providence.

Alexis Cucinotta, the missing Rumford girl who was considered "possibly endangered" by East Providence police, was brought home by officers on Monday night after an extensive search that lasted through the weekend. According to Captain Richard Frazier, the 14-year-old East Providence High School student was found at a relative's home in Providence. Officers were able to track down her location using the IP address affiliated with her Internet postings. Due to the nature of her postings, officers thought she may harm herself. She was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital for an evaluation. "She was cooperative," he said.

UPDATE: Police Search for 'Possibly Endangered' Teen

Alexis Cucinotta, 14, of Rumford, has been missing since Thursday night.

East Providence police are searching for a Rumford girl they believe is possibly endangered. Officers have been looking for Alexis Cucinotta since Friday night, according to Sgt. Bruce Atwell. The location of the 14-year-old girl is still unknown after speaking with family and friends. Police say it's imperative to find her as she has been writing messages online that implicate she may hurt herself.  "The status of the investigation increased to 'possibly endangered,'" Sgt. Atwell said, noting she was originally considered a runaway. "She may have made some mention of harming herself." Her mother was told her daughter was going to Rite-Aid on Thursday night. Rumford Girl Reported Missing

Alexis Cucinotta, 14, was last seen at Rite-Aid on Thursday night, according to reader reports.

A 14-year-old Rumford girl has been reported missing. Alexis Cucinotta was last seen at Rite-Aid at about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, according to reader reports. East Providence police are working on the case, said a detective. This was actually reported on the news last night. It is not only being spoken of on social networking. Also, Rhode Island will not issue an Amber Alert unless there is actual witness or videotape of a child being 'taken'. Update: Police Believe Missing Teen is a Runaway

Police and family are looking for help in finding Ashley Barratt.

East Providence and Warwick Police are investigating the disappearance of 15-year-old Riverside teenager Ashley Barratt. Barratt went missing from her uncle's home in Warwick around 11:15pm on Wednesday, Aug. 17, according to Barratt's grandmother and legal guardian, Vincenza Fonseca. Fonseca said by telephone Monday that Barrat and her 16-year-old cousin went to stay with their uncle on Aug. 10 and were scheduled to return home on Aug 13, four days before she disappeared. Fonseca said Barratt's uncle called her on the 13th, asking if the two young cousins could stay longer.
