Closed Section of East Bay Bike Path 'Especially Dangerous' to Access

A 2.5-mile section of the path will be open again in early May.

A 2.5-mile portion of the East Bay Bike Path remains closed through early May 2012 as sewer work is completed, according to reports from the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. The segment runs from Veterans Memorial Parkway to Riverside Square.  Officials from the R.I. Department of Transportation remind locals that the bridges along the bike path are out of service making it "especially dangerous" to access this segment of the closed bikeway and say to observe all closure signs for safety.
