An important reminder if you own a dog or a cat: A low-price rabies clinic will be held tomorrow, March 24, in East Providence. The clinic will run from 10 am to noon at the public works complex at 60 Commercial Way. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. You can get a dog license at the clinic as well. Because of financial hardship, many residents are finding it difficult to cover the cost of a veterinary visit and vaccination for their pet. Rabies vaccinations for all dogs and cats are required by state law. To help residents comply with the law, the cost for obtaining a rabies vaccination for a dog or cat will be just $10 per animal.
