Learn to Babysit on Presidents Day

The Red Cross is offering its babysitter's training course on Monday, Feb. 18.

East Providence teens can spend the first day of school vacation week on Monday, Feb. 18, Presidents Day, back in the classroom learning how to babysit. The American Red Cross is offering its babysitter’s training class at the Red Cross office in Providence. “The Presidents’ Day school holiday is a great opportunity to give your children this important training,” said Paul Shipman, American Red Cross spokesman. “The skills your child learns in this class will help them if they want to earn money babysitting, but will also provide skills to help them watch younger siblings and to be safer at home.” The class is designed for teens ages 11 to 15.
