Snow on the Way — But How Much?

Estimates vary widely on how much snow to expect Friday.

View Finder: Despite Groundhog, No Sign of Spring in East Providence

A weekly photo gallery of what's happening around East Providence.

With talk of the Phil's spring prediction, I was longing for some of East Providence's classic summer fun spots. The good news is they're still there, but sadly, still closed for winter (and under a foot of snow). We'll check in on them in four more weeks. In the meantime, fun seekers need not despair!  The hot spot over the weekend seemed to be East Providence Lanes. While the weather served up a cold rainy Saturday, bowling, pool, food and drinks were a good way to forget the weather, at least for a couple of hours. For those interested entertainment of a different kind, the L'Esperance Mandolin Ensemble performed to a full house at the Weaver Library on Monday night.

Got a Hot Tip?
