City Officials Bounce Over to Park

The Sky Zone trampoline park in Rumford cut a ribbon to officially open it doors in East Providence; several officials gave it a try.

The Sky Zone indoor trampoline park in East Providence cut a ribbon on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 24, to officially open its doors in Rumford village. And several city officials took advantage of the chance to try out the park, including School Committee Chairman Joel Monteiro, City Councilor Tracy Capobianco, and Planning Director Jeanne Boyle. Stella Downey, owner of Sky Zone, said more than 13,000 people have visited the trampoline park since it opened on the day after Christmas. “The city has been incredibly welcoming and helpful,” said Downey, who received a certificate of recognition for opening in East Providence. Bounce at Sky Zone Starting Today

Rhode Island's first all-trampoline playing court opens today, Dec. 26, in the Rumford neighborhood of East Providence.

You and your kids can bounce, dip, dodge, duck and dive starting today, Dec 26, when a Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park – the first one in Rhode Island -- opens in East Providence. The all-trampoline playing courts are located at 70 Pawtucket Ave. in a brand new addition to a long warehouse-like building in the Rumford section of East Providence. Owner Stella Downie is opening the fun park just in time for school vacation week. “People don’t know how to play any more,” said Downie, who also owns Sky Zone parks in the Hyde Park section of Boston and Everett, Mass. Indoor Trampoline Park Coming to E.P.

Sky Zone announces that it will be opening a wall-to-wall trampoline playing court in East Providence in December.

An indoor trampoline park is coming to East Providence next month. Sky Zone, which describes itself as the "creator of the world’s first wall-to-wall trampoline playing courts," will open in East Providence in December, according to a press release from the company. A location was not disclosed, but 70 Pawtucket Ave. was listed as the site for the fun park at a recent meeting of the Waterfront Commission. The indoor trampoline park will offer "15,000 square feet of interconnected trampolines forming six massive trampoline courts – each enclosed with angled trampoline walls allowing jumpers to literally bounce off the walls," according to the press release.
