  First of all, I think we should be less concerned about the his salary. I understand that everyone is always more concerned about how much other people are making. As far as his effectiveness, I have had some dealings with him because my youngest son goes to an elementary school in the center of the city because Oldham is full. He takes a bus that picks up children from Kent Heights and Silver Spring and takes a tour of the city to get home. The director did this to minimize the number of buses going to Riverside from those two schools. Which in turn reduces gas and employee costs. Am I happy about my son getting home over an hour after elementary school ends?...NO...however, I do understand why. It is amazing to me that people come on here to complain...complain...complain...Every aspect of our city is in trouble right now....everyone thinks they can do a better job....everyone says they could do the job for less money....really???? Do you really know all the job entails??? Just asking because I don't know or pretend to know what the Transportation Director's job entails or how much he should make. I am happy that my son gets to school safely and on time. Remember he fixed the problems at the beginning of this school year when the busses were late dropping off and picking up students very late rom multiple schools? Did anyone say good job buddy for fixing it??? No, we instead just complain....Just saying...

  I'm sorry but there is no excuse for leaving a 5 yr old home alone at anytime for any reason. That is what makes her situation so much worse. Anything could have happened to that child. The instance with the Police Chief has nothing to do with this case. She did not even tell the police or paramedics that she had left a child home. She waited and told a nurse at the hospital? That is digusting!
